Welcome to Our Department

In 2017, the Department of Education started its journey with a view to encouraging students, particularly from rural areas, pursuing higher education and find a niche especially for first generation female learners. Currently, the department provides Undergraduate Courses in both Honours and General streams, assessing students' performance through internal and external evaluations. Internal evaluations, conducted by departmental faculties, include midterm and test examinations, serving as comprehensive assessments of students' progress. Upon completion of each semester, external examinations administered by the University of Burdwan determine students' advancement to the next academic level. The department comprises one Assistant Professor, and three State Aided College Teachers (SACT). Faculty members possess a deep understanding of students' developmental stages, fostering their growth into ethical and responsible individuals. Recognizing education as a multidisciplinary social science, the department facilitates faculty exchange programs with allied fields.
