Dr. Ahmed graduated in Chemistry, Maulana Azad College, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, 2002-2006, post-graduated in Chemistry, from IIT Madras, Chennai, 2008-2010. He cleared UGC-NET with JRF in 2009. He ranked72 among 2439 Students in Joint Admission Test to M. Sc. (JAM) April 2008 All India joint entrance examination for admission in IITs. Dr. AhmedawardedHindustan Unilever Limited Summer Research Fellowship May - July 2009 for pursuing a summer research project on “Extraction of bioactive molecules from natural sources” under the supervision of Prof. Vijay Gadgil, Unilever, Bangalore. In Februry 2010, Dr. Ahmed qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)(Ranked 294 among 8056 Students). He awarded Ph.D in Chemistry from IIT KHARAGPUR, Kharagpur, W.B. 2010-2015. Advisor: Prof. Jayanta K. Ray. In April 2015, Dr. Ahmed joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Memari College, Memari, Purba Bardhaman, India.
