Dr. Jayati Bhattacherya completed her M.A. in Geography with First class second rank and earned PhD from the University of Burdwan ,specialising in "Urban Geomorphology and Land use change". Also, in her Graduation in Geography Honours, she has been declared first class first in her batch for being topper in the University of Burdwan among all affiliated colleges. Presently Dr. Bhattacherya is working as an assistant professor and HOD in the Department of Geography, Memari College, The University of Burdwan. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience in her field. She has published research articles in high-impact journals of National and International importance such as Geomorphology, Landuse Change, Ecotourism, Pedology, Gender study, Folk culture, Urban Study to name a few and presented Research Paper in many National and International Conferences. Dr. Bhattacherya has been a member of Geographic societies In addition to her core teaching topics, she is interested and involved in teaching soft skills such as "personality development and scientific writing" to her students. Apart from her professional career, she is a beloved wife and a mother.
